Yes,i know :))I figured:Lee singing about a Ukelele Lady goes well for Rose.(.i was listening to this gem yesterday evening (like 10 times in a row) i made this youtube journey on my iphone (grooveshark had hiccups,and needed to get my music fix asap):i first listened to a version done by Vaughn de leath ,then i jumped to Lee;i like her version better,but that is prolly due to her amazing voice (and the yodeling bit she does) )
..not really yodeling..comes close;ha(
it’s totally yodelling… it’s incredible how unconstrained her lovely voice was by the conventions of the time… no cutesy flapper coo… deep and throaty and sad and funny, yodelling at the moon. LOVE LOVE her.
