I’m not feeling this album yet which, it seems, is at odds with the rest of the world. The ‘spoken word’ feel of the first two tracks put me off, so I’m re-listening in reverse order. I’m hearing bleed from the last album (which I mostly loved) as well as the desolate soundtrack work he’s been doing with Warren Ellis (also love). This one is going to take a while, but it’s already better than Nocturama…
